A Full Size Toyota! Or is it bigger?

This is the first late model Tundra I have had my hands on. So naturally I needed to drive it for a couple weeks and put it to work before selling it. It's different thinking of Toyota as making a full size truck and this one is certainly full sized. The back seat is at least as large as a Ram Megacab. It has plenty of room for two very large guys or 4 average women. As soon as you hop in the drivers seat you notice the mass. Technically it is a half ton it feels more like a one ton. It's roomier than a Ford or Chevy. The ride is very good. Its firm but smooth like a half ton truck. Empty the acceleration is impressive. It is more powerful than I expected from a 5.7L V8 but then Ford has gone to a 5.0 and GM has a 5.3 so it is a larger engine than the competition. I wanted to see how it pulled so I hooked up my 20' call hauler and loaded up a 99 Tahoe. I was impressed. This load would be pretty close to max for the competitions half ton trucks. This Toyota pulled it with easy. It was very stable at 80. No issues stopping and plenty of power for passing others. Overall, I was surprised at the quality of the Tundra. It's rides like a half ton but works like a 3.4 ton and has the room of a full sized SUV.
